LED Nativity Scene | Light-Up Holy Family Display
Our LED Nativity Scene transforms your front lawn into a glowing tableau of the first Christmas. Seven life-size figures—Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, three Wise Men, and a shepherd—are hand-painted in rich detail and illuminated from within by energy-efficient LED bulbs. Each piece stands on a powder-coated steel frame designed to resist rust, wind, and winter rain.
We built this set for families who want a display that lasts season after season. The figures arrive pre-wired with ground stakes and twist-lock connectors, so you can arrange the scene in minutes. Plug into any standard 120V outlet and watch warm white light spill across robes, crowns, and the manger. It’s a quiet, reverent centerpiece that neighbors will admire and children will remember.

Materials & Construction

Each figure in this home accents holiday nativity scene starts with a molded resin shell, hand-painted to highlight the folds in Mary’s robe and the intricate patterns on the Wise Men’s cloaks. We cure the paint under UV lamps so the colors stay vibrant even after months of sun exposure. The interior LED strips are sealed against moisture, and the powder-coated steel frames resist corrosion in rain, snow, and sleet.
The tallest figure—Joseph holding his staff—stands five feet tall, while Baby Jesus rests in a manger just two feet wide. Every piece locks onto a ground stake that pushes six inches into soil or lawn, keeping the display stable in wind. The twist-lock wiring harness runs beneath the figures, so no exposed cords tangle across your yard.
Setup & Placement

Unpack the seven figures, unfold the steel frames, and slide each resin shell onto its armature. Push the ground stakes into your chosen spot—most families arrange the Holy Family at the center, flanked by the three Wise Men on one side and the shepherd on the other. Connect the twist-lock plugs in sequence, then run the single power cord to an outdoor outlet or timer.
We recommend placing the scene at least three feet from walkways so visitors can admire the details without stepping on wiring. If you live in a region with heavy snow, elevate the manger on a shallow platform to keep the LED compartment above drifts. The entire setup takes about twenty minutes for two people, start to finish.
Lighting & Energy Use

Warm White LED Glow
Each figure holds a string of warm white LEDs rated at 3000 Kelvin, casting a soft amber light that mimics candlelight. The total draw for all seven pieces is fifty watts—less than a single incandescent porch bulb. Run the display every evening from dusk to midnight and you’ll add roughly three dollars to your monthly electric bill.
Timer & Automation
Plug the set into a digital timer to automate on/off cycles. We’ve found that switching on at sunset and off at 11 p.m. gives neighbors time to enjoy the scene without wasting power overnight. The LEDs are rated for 25,000 hours, so even if you run the display six hours a night for sixty nights each December, the bulbs will last more than sixty seasons before dimming.

Questions About the LED Nativity Scene
Joseph, the tallest figure, stands sixty inches from the ground stake to the top of his head. Mary measures fifty-four inches, and the three Wise Men range from fifty-two to fifty-eight inches depending on their posture. The Baby Jesus figure rests in a twenty-four-inch-wide manger. These life-size proportions make the display visible from the street while still fitting comfortably in most front yards.
Yes. The powder-coated steel frames resist rust, and the resin shells are sealed against moisture. The LED compartments are rated for wet locations, so rain and snow won’t damage the wiring. We do recommend unplugging the set during ice storms to avoid power surges, and wiping off any salt or calcium deposits at the end of the season before storage.
Every figure arrives with LEDs already installed and a twist-lock connector attached. You simply plug each piece into the next in sequence, then connect the final lead to a single outdoor extension cord. No tools, no splicing, no separate bulb installation. The entire electrical setup takes less than five minutes.
The complete set draws fifty watts when all LEDs are lit. That’s roughly the same as a single forty-watt incandescent bulb, so your energy bill will see only a small increase even if you run the display for several hours each night throughout December.
We cure the paint under UV lamps and apply a clear topcoat to protect against sun damage. Many customers report that colors stay vibrant for five or more seasons, even in southern climates with intense afternoon sun. If you notice minor fading after several years, a light touch-up with outdoor acrylic paint will restore the original look.
Each figure includes a six-inch ground stake that pushes into soil, grass, or mulch. On hard or rocky ground, use a rubber mallet to tap the stakes in, or drill pilot holes if the soil is frozen. If your yard slopes, angle the stakes perpendicular to the ground rather than straight down, so the figures stand vertical. For very steep grades, small wooden shims under the uphill side of each base will level the display.
The LED strips are modular and can be replaced if one fails, though with a 25,000-hour rating that’s unlikely within the first decade of normal use. Contact our customer service team with your model number and we’ll ship the correct replacement strip. Most repairs take ten minutes with a screwdriver and the included wiring diagram.
